In my opinion, Squelching is putting out some of the most brutal music the current scene has to offer. They play a mix of slam and beatdown but have these interesting transitions and weird time signatures that give them their own unique sound. The guitars are absolutely crushing. The drums are technical but just as crushing as the guitars. The vocals I don’t even know where to start; the lyrics are insane. I feel so wrong listening to it but at the same time I can’t get enough. The vocals themselves are ridiculous. Straight up cinderblocks at the end of Rip My Skin. Top that off with literal [squelching] throughout the songs and you’ve got the heaviest band out there right now. Listen now on our bandcamp!
This will be a compilation record with the A side as the Hurting You ep that came out last year and the B side being the bands self titled so that came out in 2023. 28 minutes of straight ass beaters.
