From The Shallows played some of the best deathcore to come out of the early 2000’s. The guitar work on this album Is ridiculous. The riffs were catchy, breakdowns heavy, and the tremolo picking was in my opinion what made them who they are. Technical drums help enhance that sound and compliment the guitars so perfectly. That double bass tone is just perfect. Steffan’s unique vocals and lyricism also set them apart from all the other deathcore coming out in that era. Though they started as a Christian band, over time and with different members rotating in and out they decided to focus on spreading love, peace and positivity. It’s a shame Beyond The Unknown is all we got from them because it’s an absolute staple from the days of MySpace and it’s an honor to be bringing this to vinyl. Listen now on our bandcamp!
