One of the few (or only?) bands to come out of West Virginia at the time, Castle Grayskull plays some of the most talented metalcore to come out of the later years of Myspace. Originally coming out in 2010, To Live As Brutes caught the tail end of the Myspace days and because of that is an often overlooked gem. The guitar work on this album is ridiculous. Riffs for days, flawless harmonies and insanely catchy solo's all can drop in an instance. Throw in those iconic metalcore style bouncy breakdowns that can turn slow and brutal and any fan of the genera will immediately be hooked. The musicianship as a whole is just dripping with talent. The drums fills are just plain catchy, but the pedal work is what does it for me. Throw in some very tasteful keys and Jeremiah's strong vocals and powerful lyrics and you have a hidden gem from the Myspace days. Listen now on our bandcamp!
