Apes - Penitence

This is a first for the label but SSR017 is the brand new album “Penitence” from the crushingly heavy Apes. I’m extremely excited to bring you guys an unreleased album for the first time, and I can’t think of a better one to start with because this thing is a monster. Hailing from Quebec City, Canada, Apes plays a style of metal that is tough to pinpoint. A mix ambient black metal with moments of classic death metal topped off with some elements of hardcore to keep things interesting. Everything just meshes so flawlessly to create this blend that gives Apes their own unique sound. Penitence will be released 6/14/24 and we are so anxious to show it to you guys. For now please enjoy the first single “Coffin” featuring Madi Watkins from Year of The Knife. This absolute banger of a track really sets the tone for the rest of what’s the come on the album.
